This version of the Ducky One 2 Mini features Cherry MX Speed Silver switches, which are used by professional gamers for extremely short response times and high actuation rates. They stand out particularly for their 40 percent faster actuation compared to other Cherry MX switches and impress with a low actuation force, a short travel distance, and a smooth, linear keystroke feel. This allows for quick double and triple actuations for especially rapid actions.

The case of the Ducky One 2 Mini Gaming Keyboard is two-tone: while the top is black, the frame and underside of the keyboard are white. The keycaps are made from polybutylene terephthalate, or PBT for short, manufactured using a double-shot process, and are significantly more durable than keys made from ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene).

Functions & features of the Ducky One 2 Mini Gaming Keyboard

The very popular mechanical Cherry MX switches are virtually "indestructible" and, depending on the switch used, are optimally suited for different types of gamers. Thanks to USB N-Key Rollover, any number of keys can be pressed simultaneously without "ghosting" or other delays occurring. The 1,000 Hz report rate of the USB connection helps here by sending data from the keyboard to the PC every millisecond. The keyboard features a USB Type-C port where the detachable cable is plugged in, with a typical Type-A connector at the other end. Also convenient are the two rubberised feet on the back, which are height adjustable in three steps.

The powerful ARM M3 microcontroller of the Ducky One 2 Mini controls and stores the selected LED effects. Additionally, it optimises communication between the keyboard and PC while simultaneously enabling further functions, including macro usage and profile storage. Besides multimedia functions, Ducky Macro V2.0 also allows control of the mouse pointer via the keyboard.

This compact keyboard layout lacks not only the numeric keypad but also the arrow keys, the block with the Insert and Delete keys, as well as Print Screen, Num Lock, and Pause keys. The entire row of function keys is also absent. All missing keys have been integrated into the remaining 61 keys and can be activated using the Fn key. This TKL mini, or 60-percent layout, results in an extremely portable and lightweight keyboard.
