Anti Vibration Frames & Noise Dampening for Fans

Anti-vibration measures, which are simple and inexpensive to implement, are recommended not only for die-hard silence fans. Practically every PC benefits when vibrations from a fan are less strongly transferred to the case. This is especially true when many fans are used in a case, as their combined vibrations can create an unpleasant and unnecessary noise environment at the desk.

Pins or Frames Reduce Vibration Transmission

There are two common methods of decoupling in the fan and power supply area (which indirectly involves the power supply fan as well). First, through rubber pins or silicone stubs. These replace the normal fan screws and effectively counteract the transmission of vibrations to the case wall. The second approach uses complete anti-vibration frames that sit between the case slot and the fan or power supply before being securely screwed together. Both options are inexpensive and can make a significant difference—give them a try!
