The reservoirs of the aqualis series are equipped with a borosilicate glass tube, which, unlike the acrylic glass often used for tubular reservoirs, has a very high hardness and scratch resistance as well as very low thermal expansion and excellent chemical and thermal resistance.
The glass tube of the 880 ml variant has an outer diameter of 75 mm and a wall thickness of 5 mm. The base and lid of the aqualis series are made of Delrin, and the lid and bottom are connected by a stainless steel rod. A stainless steel baffle plate above the inlet opening in the reservoir ensures good venting of the loop. This version is additionally equipped with a nano-coating, which allows water to easily bead off the inside of the glass tube.
