The ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Apex is an ATX motherboard featuring the high-end Intel Z890 chipset and the LGA 1851 socket. It supports Intel Core Ultra processors of the second generation with the codename Arrow Lake. The Intel Z890 motherboard natively supports USB4, offering data transfer rates of up to 40 Gbit/s. Additionally, the ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Apex impresses with full PCIe 5.0 connectivity, providing you with double the bandwidth for graphics cards and NVMe SSDs compared to PCIe 4.0.
The ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Apex offers a variety of specially developed overclocking features for enthusiasts. With the 22+1+2+2 phase power supply and Extreme Engine Digi+ technology, it ensures stable voltages even at extreme clock frequencies. Extensive OC features include the LN2 mode, specifically designed for liquid nitrogen cooling, as well as the ReTry and Safe Boot buttons that facilitate restarting after a failed overclocking attempt.
The board is also equipped with the ROG DIMM-2 adapter, which provides space for two additional M.2 SSDs that are protected by separate heatsinks to ensure high storage speeds.
