The Ducky One 2 Pro in Detail
The Ducky One 2 Pro mechanical gaming keyboard is designed to give you the best typing experience possible. With a high-quality finish and trimmed for short response times, the Ducky One 2 Pro offers gamers and keyboard enthusiasts a luxurious feeling when typing.
This variant of the Ducky One 2 Pro offered here is in the 60-percent mini form factor. By dispensing with the numeric keypad, the function keys, and navigation keys, it requires even less space on the desk than an ordinary TKL keyboard. It is also less suitable for office applications.
Mechanical Switches in Detail: Kailh Box Brown
Kailh Box Brown switches offer a mixture of a pure gaming keyboard and an ideal typing keyboard. When pressing the keys, one has to overcome a slight resistance, which noticeably feeds back the contact release. Since you can feel the two very closely spaced switching points very well, you not only type noticeably faster, but can also trigger multiple clicks in succession with very little stroke distance. The naming comes from the box that surrounds the stem onto which the keycaps are attached. It ensures that the keys wobble less compared to other mechanical key switches.QUACK Mechanics
With this keyboard, Ducky introduces its QUACK Mechanics design philosophy. They consider four essential aspects that are decisive for the typing feel: the keycaps, the casing, the sound, and the stabilizers.
That is why all variants of the Ducky One 2 Pro offer high-quality keycaps made of PBT. The semi-crystalline plastic is particularly popular among keyboard modders because it is resistant to friction. Ducky casts the keycaps from two layers of plastic so that the key lettering is always clearly legible. The keycaps do not develop the shine common to other plastics, which is caused by intensive use. As a result, the keyboard looks new for a long time.
Robust casing and smooth sound
A frequent criticism of mechanical keyboards is their clunkiness. The casing of the Ducky One 2 Pro is relatively flat and, with the three-stage feet, supports the wrist. To improve the sound and typing feel, Ducky tested a total of 17 different rubber composites and selected the most suitable variant for the Q-Bounce pad. This is combined with an additional foam layer made of EVA to effectively dampen resonances when typing and hard keystrokes.
