Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems significantly increase the reliability of your productive system. In the PC sector, batteries with the highest possible capacity are used to maximize the so-called autonomy time—the duration for which the computer can continue to operate after a power outage.

Different Types of UPS

The autonomy time depends on the required power of a computer and the output power provided by the UPS: the more watts (W) or volt-amperes (VA), the longer the computer can continue running. Some UPS units have multiple socket outlets for connecting additional peripherals such as monitors. Additionally, surge protection is often integrated into the UPS, providing extra protection for connected devices against lightning strikes.
